Apple's latest iOS 13 updates changed the way permissions work and it may have impacted your Discovery Insure app.
For the Discovery Insure driving application to function properly and automatically record your trips, you must make sure that your location settings are correct. Please select Always Allow if your phone prompts you for location permissions.
Location data is essential to detecting all of your trips and providing you with an accurate score so that you can earn your rewards.

What to do if you get a location pop-up message
A pop up message will appear every few days to advise you that the Discovery Insure app is monitoring your location in the background. You will be prompted to confirm location permissions.
When this occurs, simply select Always Allow as the location permission to make sure that your driving is recorded.
